TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF INSTRUMENTAL TUITION

1. Fees

Lesson fees are subject to annual review but will not increase by more than 15%.

2. Missed Lessons

Any lesson missed by the pupil shall be forfeit. Catch up lessons are not possible. If the teacher is unavailable to

give any scheduled lesson, the lesson will be carried forward to another date within that term. Failure to arrange a

suitable catch up lesson will mean a credit note will be issued.

3. Series of Lessons

Generally 10/12 lessons per term. The series of lessons must be used up in the term they are invoiced for and cannot be carried over.

4. Termination of Agreement

A decision to discontinue lessons may be taken by the parent/guardian or the teacher in which case one whole

term’s written notice shall be given by the party seeking to discontinue, on or before the first day of the

term. In the event that the pupil discontinues lessons with insufficient notice, the parent/guardian will be liable to pay

fees for those lessons not taken during the notice period.

5. General

a) The parent/guardian will be responsible for any loss or damage incurred to any instrument; accessory or music

loaned by the teacher to the pupil. Such items will be returned on request to the teacher.

b) In the interests of the pupil’s well-being whilst in the teacher’s care, the teacher must be informed of any medical

or other condition affecting the student.

c) If the pupil is under eighteen, by signing this contract the parent/guardian gives permission for the teacher to teach the pupil.

6. Payment

Term fees are due 7 days after receiving the invoice (which should be no later than one week into term). Payment

can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer. Please make sure your name is written clearly on any payment

given. Please also note the new system of monthly payments as written on your invoice.

7. Agreement

You acknowledge agreement of the above terms and conditions by way of submitting payment.
